Inside the apartment
Villa in the Vineyard is a traditional villa built 14 years ago to the highest environmental standards set in 19 acres of vineyards and farmland. So you can enjoy the atmosphere of an Italian home but without the heat, dodgy plumbing and an old-fashioned kitchen. All the windows are double glazed and have built-in insect screens. The villa is powered by renewables and we have a heat exchange system to keep rooms nice and cool in summer rather than using unhealthy air conditioning.
Your spacious 130 m2 apartment with its independent entrance has a traditionally built Italian interior with timber roof beams and terracotta floor tiles throughout. Walls of muted colours and stylish furniture in natural materials make you feel comfortably at home. The large sunny living room has a comfortable sofa and chairs with a wood burning stove for mid-winter.
Fully equipped modern kitchen with granite worktops, electric oven, gas hob, microwave, large fridge freezer and breakfast bar for two. There is plenty of crockery, glasses, mugs and cutlery so you're not waiting for the dishwasher.
Although you will probably want to eat outside or under the shady loggia there is a dining room table for space for up to 6 with high chair if needed.
The bedrooms are large with antique or painted furniture: bedroom one with a memory foam bed and en-suite; bedroom two with doors on to the terrace and a family bathroom opposite; bedroom three with two single beds and ensuite bathroom with wet room walk in shower. The modern bathrooms have power showers, bidets in two and plenty of hot water from our solar panels. All towels are provided (including separate ones for the pool).
We have WiFi for those who want it and you can also connect to the internet using an ethernet cable. We have an Apple adaptor cable if needed.
We will contact you before you arrive with details of our food welcome pack of essentials (you can tell us about any dietary requirements). We will welcome you personally, show you around and make sure you have everything you need.
We also provide a full digital information guide to help you during your stay - plus we are always on hand to help if needed.
So as you can see everything is super comfortable and welcoming in our ecotourism apartment! No compromises here!
Outside in the garden
Your private tiled terrace (50 m2) overlooks the garden and pool with table and benches for alfresco dining. There is a further outside dining table set up to seat up to 10 under the covered stone arched loggia. This has a central candelabra over the table and further coach lights on the walls for late night dining. The pool is for the exclusive use of your family or group and is kept clean by copper ionization. It is also fully-fenced to avoid unaccompanied access for younger children. Sun loungers and pool towels are ready for your use. There's plenty of space in the two acre garden for children to run around and lots of outdoor games plus a table tennis table.
You are welcome to walk around our 19 acres of gardens and land surrounding the villa, which includes the vineyards, our olive trees, organic vegetable garden and fruits depending on the seasonal rotation.
The Villa is accessed by our own private drive with gates, with plenty of parking beside your apartment and attractive garden lighting.
