A healthy environment

Villa in the Vineyard is set in 7.5 hectares of sustainably managed land and you will have full use of the gardens surrounding the villa as well as the freedom to take a walk through the vineyards.  You won't find fresher air than here!

The air in the villa is healthy too with underfloor cooling run by our renewables rather than air conditioning.  This is switched to underfloor heating in the winter plus there is a wood burning stove for taking the chill off in the spring or autumn.  The walls here are thickly insulated so being too hot or too cold is not a problem.

The chlorine-free swimming pool is run on a copper ionisation system and is fully fenced with a gate for safety and peace of mind if you have young children. The pool is all at one depth so no deep end so safer for parents with children.

Being sustainable and doing the best for the environment and the health of our guests is central to our business and we use only organic cleaning and laundry products as well providing organic soap in the bathrooms and by the pool.

A wealth of new experiences and adventures

At Villa in the Vineyard you should find that your children are never bored as there is so much to entice them away from a screen!  The swimming pool is always a big hit, of course, but there are plenty of simple pleasures which children love.  Like spotting a lizard or a brightly coloured butterfly.  To encourage this, we provide a wildlife guide, books and  binoculars for children to help them look out for all the exciting new butterflies, birds and other creatures they may see whilst they're here.

There is plenty of room for running round and playing old-fashioned games like Jenga and hide-and-seek.  We also have a table tennis table and outdoor games, as well as children's books and puzzles.  Children and teenagers are also interested in food provenance these days and they are welcome to have a look round our organic kitchen garden.
